How to Burn Wooden Wicked Soy Candles the Right Way

How to Burn Wooden Wicked Soy Candles the Right Way

When it comes to burning your candles, there are a few simple practices that will help you get the most out of your investment. So let's get into it...

Rule #1. - After lighting your candle, do not blow it out too soon. Keep it lit and allow it to burn. Your candle should burn for at least 2-3 hours (but not more than 4 hours... we'll discuss that in rule #2). Doing so ensures that the melt pool is even. No matter how you look at it, candles create memories called a "melt memory." After creating the melt memory, your candle should burn evenly after every light.

Rule #2. - DO NOT let your candle burn for more than 4 hours. The result is a candle with a less than appealing appearance, as well as a greater risk of breaking.

Rule #3. - DO NOT leave your candle unattended. I know... any dummy already knows this. So you'd think. Leaving your candle unattended is extremely dangerous. Please protect your home and your family from this major fire hazard. If this is something that worries you, you can also look into our wax melts or room sprays, although they are not as mood-setting as a glowing flame they are definitely a safe alternative. You can also place your candle on a candle warmer.

Rule #4. - Wicks should be trimmed each time before relighting. To trim our wooden wick candles, trim to 1/4 and discard any carbon buildup. Only burn the candle on a level, fire-resistant surface.

More Information:
Please keep in mind that your candle was handmade in small batches and is 100% natural. “Frosting” also may occur, which happens naturally in soy candles, and there's no sure way of preventing it. "Frosting" is a white crystallization that forms on the wax, but it will not affect the scent throw or burning of your candle.

Just follow these simple steps the next time you light a Wooden STATE YOUR MOOD Candle, and we guarantee that your experience will be nothing less than positive.
